The first game in Scott Cawthon's independent point-and-click survival horror series is titled Five Nights at Freddy's. On August 8, 2014, it was initially made available on Desura (though it was later taken down at an undisclosed time), and on August 18, it was made available on Steam. The player's goal is to survive five nights at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza without being caught, stuffed into a mascot costume, and thus killed by the animatronic characters; this is accomplished by tracking their movements using the restaurant's security cameras.
